Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I book your services for my wedding/event?
A: A contract and a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to reserve services for your special day. Simply email me or contact me by phone, with the date of your event, the time, location, and the number of people that need services. I will confirm with you, whether I'm available, and will send you a contract. Once I have received back both your contract AND your 50% booking deposit, your date is confirmed/booked. (Please note that all credit card transactions are subject to a processing fee). Please call 954-242-2888 for any questions.
Q: Do you offer consultations (aka "trial runs")?
A: Yes, I prefer to refer them as "design sessions", because we are designing your wedding day look TOGETHER. The process can take up to 2 HOURS, and is $150. This is an optional service that is not included in the price for wedding day makeup on-location, and is available at your request. Many of my brides ask for a design session to be scheduled a few weeks or months prior to their wedding, and they book the date for the design session at the same time that they reserve their wedding date with me. Whether you desire a design session with me prior to the wedding or not, you can definitely count on looking gorgeous for your special day - your happiness and beauty (and did I mention fabulous wedding pictures?) is my top priority, and I always bring the necessary tools with me on-location, to create virtually any wedding-day look that you could imagine!
Q: Do you do Airbrush makeup?
A: YES. I specialize in Airbrush makeup. A large portion my wedding makeup applications have been done using Airbrush, because it lasts longer in hot weather and feels AMAZINGLY light to wear, does not "sweat off" or look cakey. Brides LOVE it!
Q: What services do you offer?
A: Hair Styling, Makeup Artistry, Hair Extensions and Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions. Please call 954-242-2888
Q: Do you do Hair Extensions?
A: Yes, I do. I can provide temporary, color-matched clip-in or tape-in extensions for either length or volume. Please note: a short, in-person consultation is necessary before receiving hair extensions. All extensions are high quality 100% Human Hair.
Q: Do you travel to my location or do I have to come to you?
A: With the exception of Xtreme Lashes application, I am happy to accomodate any of your needs on-location.
Q: Do you stay to do touchups on the bride until she's ready to walk down the aisle?
A: Depending on your contract, and the timing of your specific wedding day, you may want me to stay to do touchups right until you are ready to walk down the aisle. This is optional, and not really necessary unless you will be taking pictures OUTSIDE, prior to the wedding. If this is the case, yes, I can stay for up to three hours after everyone is done with their hair and makeup, and touch up the bride until she is ready to walk down the aisle. Please Note: ADDITIONAL FEES WILL APPLY.
Q: Is there a booking minimum?
A: Yes. There is a $500 minimum to book my services. This means either you are receiving both hair and makeup, or yourself and at least two other people are receiving only one service.
Q: Can you accomodate large bridal parties (i.e. bridesmaids, flowergirl, mother of the bride) in addition to the bride?
A: Yes, I can, but this needs to be arranged in advance, in case I need to book additional members of my team for that day.
Q: Could you please send me a price list?
A: All of my rates are available in the "Rates & Services" section.
Q: Is there a Travel Fee?
A: Yes, depending on location/distance I will need to travel.
Within the city of Portland, Oregon there is NO additional travel fee required.
Q: What do you do in your spare time? (yes, many people ask me!)
A: I attend beauty industry-related workshops & seminars; read books & magazines to learn all the hottest, up-to-date new techniques and trends in Beauty, Makeup and Hair Styling, in order to better make YOU, (my lovely client), look your very BEST and most BEAUTIFULl! :)
Q: What kind of makeup do you use?
A: I use the very best professional products appropriate for you, depending on your skin type and the look that you want. Obviously, I will use a different kind of foundation makeup for the Grandmother of the Bride, than I would for the Bride herself.
Q: Do you use M.A.C?
A: Yes, I do. M.A.C is one of my favorite lines, and one of the main brands that you will find in my kit. All of my products are of the highest quality, do not contain animal ingredients and are not tested on animals. I strongly believe you can ONLY get the very best results, by using the best products!
Q: Do you have experience with Ethnic/Asian/Acne/Mature skin types?
A: Absolutely!! I specialize in custom-blended makeup, to match any skin tone, no matter how dark or light. And I LOVE working on all the many different shades and tones of beauty! I also carry in my kit a range of professional skin care products that I use to prepare delicate, mature skin or sensitive, acne-prone skin before makeup application, to acheive the very best results.
Q: How long will my makeup stay on?
A: If I have applied your makeup, it will last all day, until you remove it at night.
Q: What happens if I cry/sweat?
A: Don't worry, everything I use for weddings is waterproof, from the foundation to the mascara. Simply dab your eyes or forehead with a tissue, and keep on looking gorgeous!
Q: Can I bring someone with me to the consultation?
A: Yes, you may bring ONE (1) female relative OR friend with you to the consultation. Please do not bring CHILDREN/PETS/FIANCE, as it can sometimes be a lengthy process; it is best for all involved to be focused solely on YOU, the Bride, and your glamorous look for your special day! :) :)
Q: Is your pricing negotiable/are there any discounts?
A: Nope :) When it comes to hiring a beauty expert for on-location, personal services (not products), you definitely get what you pay for! When you hire me, you are hiring an experienced, licensed professional, that comes to YOU, and is an expert in Hairstyling, Skin Care AND Makeup Artistry. The level of skill and expertise that you can expect, is far superior to hiring your sister, your cousin, or a cosmetic sales-person from the mall. And, I promise, I will never, ever, try to sell you something on your wedding day! :)
